Meet Laurie

Laurie brings over three decades of experience in private piano instruction. With a diverse range of students spanning from five-year-olds to individuals in their mid-70s, Laurie has catered to learners of varying skill levels. During her college years, Laurie specialized in piano performance and showcased her talent as an accompanist for esteemed organizations such as the Chicago Lyric Opera Workshop, Roosevelt University, DePaul University, the University of Wisconsin, and Carnegie Mellon University.

Laurie’s musical journey also involved working as an artist assistant with the renowned Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, she had the opportunity to gain valuable experience in arts administration through an internship with the National Symphony in Washington, D.C. Beyond teaching, Laurie finds joy in performing chamber music and collaborating with vocalists and instrumentalists. Over the years, she has consistently served as a church pianist for multiple churches, further enhancing her musical repertoire and connecting with different congregations.
